Dear Valued Patient,
I am writing regarding our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our first priority is the safety of our patients and our community. To this end we are reducing the presence of staff in the office by allowing those people who can work from home to do so as long as necessary. Also, beginning March 30 we will be closed on Mondays.
Secondly, we are encouraging patients to take advantage of telemedicine for follow-up visits such as test results or other routine matters. I want to emphasize that patients who wish to be seen face-to-face can still do so. We do ask that if you have traveled by air within the past 2 weeks to reschedule your appointment. Also, of course, if you have had a cough, fever or difficulty breathing please contact your primary care physician or your local health department about what you should do. These appointments will need to be rescheduled as well.
As always, our staff will continue to wash hands before any patient contact encounter. We are also taking the additional precaution of wearing gloves in certain circumstances.
We well understand that the present circumstances may present a hardship for many. We choose to view this as an opportunity to continue serving our patients to the best of our ability in this difficult time.
Sincerely,
P. Terrence Moore, MD FAASM
