I have been a nurse for 33 years, graduating from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I worked at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas as an oncology nurse. This is where I met Robyn Craig and we have been friends and colleagues ever since. I then went on to be a school nurse as my two children began grade school. In 2004, I decided to return to graduate school along with Robyn. I graduated with honors from Texas Woman’s University with a Masters’ of Science and received my family nurse practitioner certification.
I have close to 11 years’ experience as a family nurse practitioner. I have had a special interest in integrative/wellness medicine, focusing on bio-identical hormone, thyroid hormone, weight and fibromyalgia/fatigue management. While in family practice, I referred some of my patients to Dr. Moore for sleep studies. I was always impressed with his expertise on sleep management. I joined Dr. Moore at 4 Better Sleep in July of 2017 to focus on management of obstructive sleep apnea through sleep studies and CPAP management. I continue to balance hormones in patients who are interested or still experience fatigue or insomnia issues after their obstructive apnea has been managed. A personal experience with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia in my 20’s and later, a diagnosis of lupus, peaked my interest in bio-identical hormones, thyroid balancing, wellness or integrative medicine and infectious diseases.
